Parish School of Religion (PSR)
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-like approach to the faith formation of young children, starting with ages 3-6. In CGS, the child’s religious life is a shared experience with a trained catechist in weekly sessions in a shared space called the Atrium. Through CGS, it is the hope that children will come to know Jesus, the Mass, grow in their overall faith formation and embrace the sacred. Sessions will be Sundays from 9:15-11:15 am. Spaces are limited to the first 16 and registration will be closed when we reach capacity and you will be put on a waiting list. The program begins September 10 in the school chapel. For more information, email Mary vonCarlowitz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grade PreK to Grade 8
The Gesu PSR program serves the educational needs of those families attending private and public schools by offering religious instruction and spiritual development. Grades 1-8 gather at Gesu School from 10:00-11:15 am on Sunday mornings. Classes are periodically supplemented by family programs and gatherings. For more information, email Mary vonCarlowitz at email@example.com.
The high school PSR program meets on Sunday mornings from 10:00-11:15 am in Gesu School. For more information, email Mary vonCarlowitz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As a part of the PSR program this year, we will be doing some intergenerational programming. Intergenerational events will take place on Sunday mornings about 5 times this year. The programs are open to anyone in the parish and will take the place of a classroom PSR session. They will involve a variety of different activities and topics for the whole family. They are designed to reach people of all ages! We hope you can join us for these events.
