A Message From Our Pastor

Welcome to the Church of the Gesu - we are so glad you are here! In the past 100 years, Gesu has grown from its humble beginnings of approximately 40 families to a thriving parish of over 2,700+ families today. It has flourished as a center of learning and a faith-filled community dedicated to living lives for the greater glory of God. In the last few years, we welcomed a record number of new families into our parish, and Gesu continues to grow! I am confident the founding Jesuits and parishioners who began this community 100 years ago would be proud of the vibrant parish and school we have become. What a bright future!

Whether you are visiting or are already a member of our community, I invite you to look through these pages and familiarize yourself with all that Gesu has to offer. You will learn more about our active parish and the many ways it serves our community.  We invite you to join us anytime throughout the year and embrace being a special part of Gesu.

Fr. Lukas M. Laniauskas, SJ

What does Gesu mean to you? Here's what our parishioners said:

"Being part of Gesu, where I've watched my family grow, feels like being wrapped in a warm, comforting embrace. Each corner of the church holds a special memory—our wedding vows exchanged at the altar, the joyful splashes of water during our children's baptisms, and the proud moments of their first communions. It’s where we sought solace during the funeral of my father and found strength in our community."

"Gesu has been at the center of my life even before going to 1st grade. The Gesu connection is so important to me. It is my church for sacraments, my grade school, I taught PSR for 30+ years, ran the building campaign in the 1990s, Gesu Honduras for 25 years + all our children have been through Gesu. If I were to diagram my life, Gesu is right at the heart of it!"

"I deeply cherish our church as a central part of our lives, where we've celebrated marriages, baptisms, first communions, and mourned loved ones together. It's not just a place of worship but a cornerstone of our community, rich with shared memories and spiritual growth. I hope it continues to be a welcoming and supportive environment where future generations can find the same sense of belonging, faith, and fellowship."
