Liturgical Ministries

Altar Servers

Altar Servers are boys and girls in the seventh and eighth grade who assist at the Church Masses, weddings and funerals. New altar servers are trained in the spring of grade 6. If you have a son or daughter interested in becoming a server, email Hilda Walter or call (216) 932-0617.

Arts & Environment Committee

Parishioners provide an artistic expression of the liturgical seasons throughout the Church year through seasonal focus pieces and floral arrangements. For more information, email Barb Domski or call (216) 382-5011.

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers distribute Communion to the worshipping community at the Church Masses. Some training is required. To learn more, email Hilda Walter or call (216) 932-0617.

Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic Visitors take Communion weekly to homebound parishioners and to Catholics at Menorah Park, Montefiore and McGregor. For more information, email Ashley Markiewicz or call (216) 932-0617.

Funeral Attendants

Adults (men and women) assist at funerals in setting up, providing support for families and friends on arrival and being available to the priests and younger servers during the funeral Mass. Scheduling is on an as-available basis. For more information, email Sr. Kathleen.

Hospitality Ministry

This group is open to people of all ages.  Greeters serve at the doors of the church as people enter for weekend liturgies and other special occasions to offer hospitality and welcome. They may assist in distributing bulletins at the end of Mass. For more info, email Michelle Creger.

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at weekend Liturgies, and other liturgical events throughout the year. Training is provided. We also encourage young people to consider this ministry. For more information, email Pat Murphy.

Liturgy Preparation Committee

This group focuses on the details of the liturgical seasons and celebrations through the year, communicates with the liturgical ministers involved, and recommends policies and procedures that foster a strong liturgical life in the parish. For more information, email Sister Kathleen or call (216) 932-0617.

Music Ministry

Opportunities to serve in the music ministry include the gallery choir, the chamber choir, the handbell choir, the chant choir, the children’s choir and the young adult choir (at the 12:00 pm Mass). Instrumentalists are encouraged to share their talents. Regular rehearsals are scheduled during the week. If interested, email Dr. Joe Metzinger or Mark Ebhar or call (216) 932-0617.

Men and women are encouraged to join this dedicated group that assists the hospitality of our worship life. For more information about the ministry, email Michael Scalabrino or call (216) 402-5425.
