It’s the conversation that matters, not the food…….

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

We are beginning a process to listen to the needs and hopes of the extended Gesu parish family. To do this, there will be several options to get your feedback on the spiritual needs of the parish.

First, we will work with the many groups that gather in our parish on a regular basis, but we also would like to have smaller gatherings of adults in your homes. The goal would be six to eight people gathering in homes for a simple dinner and conversation.

The purpose of the meeting is the conversation, not the food. Something easy like pizza could easily be the menu. The groupings could be groups of friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, etc. Ideally, it would be great to invite someone who no longer goes to church or no longer attends Gesu. A list of questions will be distributed before the gathering. The goal is to hear the needs and the hopes of our families and friends and then work to create a pastoral plan that reflects what we hear.

I’m asking you to begin to think about creating a listening group with your friends, neighbors, or colleagues, and then call the Parish Office and schedule a time for me to join you for this important gathering. Please contact my assistant, Joanne Schneider at 216.932.0617 or email her at to arrange a gathering or if you have any questions.
