In conjunction with the Parish Pastoral Council, Fr. Kiser determined it would be helpful for the parish to develop a strategic plan. Gesu last went through a planning process in 2012 and it resulted many positive changes. The plan will identify – with input from parishioners, parish groups and even some external groups with whom we work closely – the parish’s priorities for the next 5 years, so that we can ensure all our programs and services focus on common goals.

Members of the Pastoral Council will lead the planning process, but the substantive basis of the plan will come from the parish as a whole, through review of recent parish-wide surveys, focus groups with some of the parish’s commissions and organizations, and interviews of outside leaders. The Council is beginning the process of gathering information from all these sources now, and will do so for the couple months. We will use the feedback we obtain from the parish to develop a plan reflecting our common goals and priorities and the strategies for achieving those goals.

We anticipate the process will be concluded this Fall. Throughout the process, we will provide periodic updates. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of the members of Pastoral Council.
