50+ Club

The Gesu 50+ Club is open to all members of the parish. Monthly events are held from September to May and include spiritual events, luncheons, dinners and bus trips during the year. Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts of America Troop 620 has been an established troop in Gesu Church since 1960. Membership is open to all boys of the parish who are ten years of age or older and have completed the 5th grade. To learn more, email Ed Mozdzen at emozdzen1@sbcglobal.net.

Cub Scouts

Membership in Cub Scout Pack 620 is open to all boys of the parish in Grades 1 through 5. The objectives of the group are: citizenship training, character development and personal fitness. For more information, Steve Moylan at moylanhouse@gmail.com.

Girl Scouts

The Girl Scouts of the USA program is open to all girls of the parish from Kindergarten through high school. For more information, email Dawn Schmitt at dschmitt2@sbcglobal.net.

Knights of Columbus

The Heights Council of the Knights of Columbus is a fraternity of Catholic gentlemen devoted to supporting Gesu Parish through acts of charity, financial support, and community outreach. For more information, email Greg Spielman at kc3087gk@gmail.com.

Young Adults

Gesu Young Adults is made up of people in their 20s and 30s. We discuss how to grow closer to Christ together with our peers in Cleveland including faith formation, socialization and community service. For more information, email Ashley Markiewicz at amarkiewicz@churchofthegesu.org.

Catholic Singles

The Gesu Singles Group is open to unmarried, divorced and widowed parishioners from Gesu and other east side parishes. Members gather monthly for social, spiritual and service events.  For further information, email Nancy Agacinski at nagacinski@yahoo.com.

Young Families

Gesu Young Families is for parishioners with children from birth to age 5 (or Kindergarten). The purpose of the group is to provide interesting, fun and helpful activities for parents and children. During the year, various social, spiritual, recreational and community service opportunities are offered, including playgroups. Funeral Receptions

Following a funeral at Gesu, a reception may be held in McAuley Hall if the family requests it. Volunteers from the parish prepare and serve a warm meal for the family and their friends. The committee welcomes anyone willing to assist in this ministry by either preparing a dish at home, or baking, or by helping to serve the day of the funeral. Hospitality

The Gesu Hospitality Committee provides assistance and supplies for the various parish commissions. Volunteers are provided on an as-needed basis to help with special events. If you would like to volunteer or need assistance with a parish event, email Suzanne Panichi at allpanichi@gmail.com.

New Parishioner Welcoming

The New Parishioner Welcoming Committee has the goal of welcoming and informing new parishioners to help them meet others and introduce them to the Parish and its various organizations and opportunities. For more information, email Jennifer Zavoda at jennifer.zavoda@kelly-buck.com.

Women’s Guild

The Gesu Women’s Guild is an active organization with two primary purposes of promoting friendly relations among the members and furthering the cause of religious and social service in the parish community.  Every woman in the parish is considered to be a member. For more information, please email the Women’s Guild.
