Adult Spiritual Growth
Currently there are two opportunities for exploring the Bible at Gesu. A study the Gospel of Matthew will continue until mid-May, meeting bi-weekly on Tuesday
mornings and Wednesday
evenings. Upon completion of the Book of Joshua study, there will be a Saturday
study of Introduction to the Bible. See Gesu calendar or bulletin for more information.
Gesu Book Club meets monthly, usually the second Thursday from 7:30-9:00 pm to discuss various Catholic works of literature and share fellowship. Watch the bulletin for more information.
Divorced / Separated Group
This group provides support and friendship for men and women of the parish who are divorced or separated. There are usually two series of six week sessions, one in the Fall and one in the Spring.
The Ignatian Identity Committee exists to further explore ways of supporting the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the Jesuit religious order. This committee assists parishioners in deepening their understanding of Ignatian spirituality and fostering their spiritual growth through Ignatian practices such as prayer and retreats. For more information, email the Faith Formation Commission. The Ignatius Library is located in the Pastoral Center. To view the catalog, click here.
Gesu InterGenerational Events (GIG)
Gesu InterGenerational events are open to anyone in the parish interested in a morning of fun activities, good conversations and faith formation. Each GIG event is centered on a different topic of our Catholic faith and will involve various components to learn more about the topic. GIG events are for children through adults…there is something for everyone to take away as they are designed to reach people of all ages! We hope you can join us for these events. Click here
to view the tentative dates and topics. For more information, email Mary von Carlowitz.
The Parish Mission is a further extension of the Service Day held on the first Saturday in December. Its focus is on how we continue to live out the message of the Gospel. Opportunities for input, prayer, reflection and gathering as a community are held on Sunday through Tuesday evenings. The Mission is held every other year.
These help parishioners to develop a deeper spiritual connection with God. Retreats include the Mom’s Retreat and the Men’s Retreat
